Today's inane image of the day:
This is generally how my Starbucks workspace looks like -- coffee, phone and laptop [yes, I do really like the color pink...]. While I sometimes have a love-hate relationship with weekend mornings [generally because they aren't truly mornings anymore when they start at 10 or 11am], today is slightly different because it will probably be the last time I spend a Sunday morning at the Starbucks on State and Liberty St -- with moving out of my apartment next weekend, I don't think I'll have the opportunity to do this again. There is, of course, the possibility that I try to do my residency at the University of Michigan, but that is pretty unlikely.
Another thing that occurred to me is that the
Ann Arbor Art Fair is right around the corner -- my first time experiencing the Art Fair, I was running a camp for high school students to discover engineering and was a bit worried that they would run off and be corrupted by evil college students, so it wasn't an optimal situation. But, luckily, I did get to take advantage of the
Urban Outfitters sidewalk sale [an extra 50% off of sale items!].

The second year I was in Ann Arbor for it, I was just annoyed. Not only did I not get any morning shifts at the coffeeshop I worked at [mornings were the most lucrative tip times! In fact, one morning during the Art Fair, the man in front of me tipped a $20 bill! Gah! I could have used that tip money for school...] but they blocked off the road in front of my apartment, making moving groceries from my car nearly impossible.
This year, I expect a repeat of last year's annoyance primarily because I'm concerned about being able to get my car back in its parking spot after work. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
In other news, I spent over $1,000 on the textbooks I ordered last night ... I don't know how I feel about that. Actually, I take that back... I know I feel sad about that.
Only one more week of work, one week of moving and one week of vacation until school starts!
